Privacy Policy for Cellar Sesame

1. Overview

Cellar Sesame ("the app") is a wine cellar management application. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

• Account information: email address and name when you create an account or sign in with Apple
• Cellar data: wine inventory, tasting notes, ratings, and drinking history that you enter into the app
• Scanned images: label photos and delivery note images captured when you scan them in the app
• Usage data: app interactions stored as part of the sommelier conversation history

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and operate the app and your personal wine cellar
• To recognise scanned labels and delivery notes and power the AI sommelier feature: label and delivery note images, cellar data, and sommelier messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API
• To sync your data across devices via Supabase

4. Third-Party Services

• Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy)
• Anthropic — label and delivery note recognition and AI sommelier responses; label and delivery note images, cellar data, and sommelier messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API (anthropic.com/privacy)
• RevenueCat — subscription and in-app purchase processing (revenuecat.com/privacy)
• Sentry — crash and error diagnostics (sentry.io/privacy)
• Household sharing: invited household members can view the owner’s cellar data
• Apple Sign In — optional authentication method (apple.com/legal/privacy)

5. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers. We do not sell your data to third parties.

6. Your Rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time in the app via Settings › Delete Account. If you have an App Store subscription, you must cancel it separately through your Apple ID account settings.

7. Children's Privacy

Cellar Sesame is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
